We say YES to youth employment
In June 2019, the Ascendis Health group joined the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative, a business-led collaboration with government that aims to create 1 million work opportunities for South African youth over the next four years.
Our Group is proud to be an active contributor to building a thriving society by being part of this incredible initiative. As such, we have committed to providing 100 unemployed youth between the ages of 18-35 years old, with a life-changing, 12-month work opportunity. In addition to the learnership, we have developed an informal coaching and mentorship programme to support these young learners transition to the working world.
On completion of the programme, these young men and women will be equipped with credible work experience and skills to enter the job market or to become thriving entrepreneurs. Ascendis Health strives to retain some of these young talent by offering them employment opportunities within the Group.
